Cultural story mapping

Same Sky Collective grew out of research in the Master of Arts in Human Rights and Social Justice program at Thompson Rivers University. That work used cultural story mapping — an approach grounded in Indigenous ways of understanding relationship to space and place — to tell the story of the toxic drug crisis through the voices of people with lived and living experience, rather than through statistics.

The finished work is displayed throughout the building at 417 Tranquille Road. This page is where it will live online.

Putting this work online is not the same as hanging it on a wall. It means asking every contributor again, separately, about a much larger audience — so this page waits until we have done that properly.

Until then, the work is best seen in person. Come by the studio — there is no charge and no appointment needed.
